MRS. HENDRICKS

Hi! I'm Mrs. Hendricks. I'm married to a great man and we have three children who also attend St. Ann's School. My favorite animals other than my dog, Hugo, who is also my fourth baby, are turtles! I grew up in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, started my college career at Texas Tech and then graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in communication disorders.  Even though I had grand ideas on getting my master's and being a speech pathologist, God had other plans for me, and here I am as a teacher! I've taught for 8 years in both the public and parochial school settings, including 4th and 5th grades, 6th grade religion, and 7th and 8th academic strategies. I am now having a blast teaching middle school religion!  I grew up as a Methodist, and then in my early 20's, decided to become a Catholic after "church-hopping" for a while.  A wonderful, patient, kind deacon at St. Elizabeth's in Lubbock, Texas helped me along every step and answered every crazy question I could throw at him about Catholicism!  I continue to be on fire about my faith, especially when it comes to teaching my own personal children and my students about sacred scripture.  There are myths out there that love to claim Catholics do not use a Bible-my students can debunk it! They are becoming very adept at navigating a Bible and can recite from Genesis all the way to Revelation in order.  Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions this year!  God Bless!
